Review:
I love this movie, and am clueless as to why some hate it. But I digress, on to the review. The story is that Myron Breckinridge gets a sex change and becomes the shapely Myra. Myra then goes to her uncle, claiming to be Myron's widow. He believes this, and she sticks around town. Ms.Breckinridge meets some people during this time. One of them is a naive young woman named Mary Ann. She's a nurse and is very sweet. The two become friends, but it's kind of one sided because Myra is using Mary for her masterplan. Enter Rusty, Mary Ann's hunky boyfriend. You can tell that Myra wants him, but it also seems suspicious, because it appears that she's trying to use him too. Anyway, they both get closer and closer, leading up to the scene where Myra straps him down and rapes him(it seems that she still has some of her "manly" parts). Then she tries to, albeit unsuccessfully, seduce Mary Ann. It doesn't work of course, becuase Mary won't put out for a girl. She says that she'd really fall if it were a guy, but she just can't be with another woman. Throw in a raunchy singer named Leticia Van Allen, and her studs, one of which is a young Tom Selleck, and you've got a hell of a movie. The cast includes Farrah Fawcett as Mary Ann, Raquel Welch as Myra, Mae West as Leticia in her second to last role, and most suprisingly, New York Observer coulmnist Rex Reed as Myron. I've always found it strange/ironic that Mr. Reed is now a harsh movie critic, considering that his first starring role was in something universally panned. Oh well. I love the guy. Everyone should see this. It's great.

About the author: 10 years from now I'll be more famous than Madonna and Meryl Streep put together. Mark my works, I will conquer the industry.
