Review:
People always say sequels never live up to the originals, but they usually make a better attempt than this one does. The basic plotline is that Regan has dreams of flying traced back to Africa and the 'terrifying' cult of the locus...zzzzzzzz... WHO CARES. The Exorcist was bloody confusing, but at least it managed to be scary. This is just flat garbage that tries to explain what didn't need explaining, the only entertaining part is when we find out that the demon's name is 'Bazuzu'. I was just waiting for them to start saying it 5 times whilst looking in a mirror. If you watched the Exorcist and wondered why Linda Blair never became a star, then this film will certainly remove all queries. I wouldn't hate the film so much if it wasn't that it had no reason to be such a suckass flick. It was directed by John Boorman (of Deliverance fame), and starred Richard Burton and Louise Fletcher, among others. This film had the director and the talent to make it big, but it just lies down and quivers at the thought that it's going to be compared to it's original older brother.
