 Oh boy, where do I begin? You know a movie is going to be bad when they even get the TITLE wrong. The plot revolves around a space ship that lands in the forest, and the bumbling, slow-witted alien eyecreatures that try to take over the world. A teenage couple hits one with their car, and when they try to take a picture of it, it dissintigrates from the flash. They go for help, but of course no one will believe them, a la "The Blob". Unlike "The Blob", the eyecreatures are ridiculously easy to kill (bright light does the trick), and the closest they come to taking over the world is breaking into a car. I grudgingly give this a 2, because it's easy to make fun of. Things to look for: zippers on the eyecreature suits; eyecreatures wearing sneakers; people dressed in black, wearing only the heads of the costumes; the worst day-for-night scenes I've ever seen; and the old hermit ("Get off my property, ya damn smoochers!") About the author: I'll take "Earth vs. the Flying Saucers" over "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" any day. You may read another review, submit your own, or return home. |
