 Hey, fishbreath! That ain't gonna happen to Jon Voight. Contrary to your statement Voight will not be remembered for Anaconda like Faye Dunaway was remembered for Mommie Dearest for the simple reason that nobody went and saw Anaconda! "Mommie Dearest" on the other hand was an extremely popular film that was somehow raised to cult status and rightly so - its a scream. Anaconda was lame, boring and did nothing for the director or the actors involved. Matter of fact who even remembers the movie at all. Plus, even if Voight is remembered for his role in Anaconda its because of his acting not despite it. He was the only 'professional' in the film. And because the film was wholly tongue in cheek anyway, Voight ran with it - in other words, he had a good time doing it. So comparing Dunaway and Voight because of strange movie choices is like comparing shit and pate. Use your friggin' head, fishy. You may read another review, submit your own, or return home. |
