Also known as Screwballs 2, Loose Screws is a comic tour de FARCE about a quartet of wacky sex-staved misfits on a poon tang trip. The hilarity starts right away, when we learn that the characters names are actually (and I SWEAR I'm not making this up!) Hugh G. Rection, Marvin Eatmore, Steve Hardman, and Brad Lovette... well, I guess you can't expect them to keep up that level of creative energy for long. Oh, and I forgot to meniton, Marvin Eatmore is the FAT guy! Ha hahahahahhahaha!! Did me in pigshit and call me Wanda if that ain't comedy! The best part of the whole movie though has to be the CLIMAX (hahaha... ITS FUNNY GOD DAMMIT!), which involves the disruption of a school assembly and the metaphysical pantsing of a lifetime for the stuffy dean, the film's antagonist! You'll never look at somber dedication cermonies, giant talking statues, or "screw fumes" the same way again! Also, the soundtrack of this movie is probably the greatest musical compilation ever assembled on ONE great album! From the racous title track, to the tongue-in-cheek ribaldry of "Circular Impression" and the liberating abandon of the film's closing song, "Screw IT!", this is the way a soundtrack SHOULD sound. I'm sick and tired of movie soundtracks that have songs on them that have nothing to do with the movies they're from. The soundtrack in Loose Screws fits the movie so well its almost becomes a character in itself! Do yourself a favor and check it out for yourself. You'll be deleriously giddy that you did!
