Review:
I understand now why J.D. Salinger hates movies. It's because the film industry cranks out bombs like Captain America, starring his own son! Marvel Comics has always been the leader when it comes to comic books, but before Blade, they sold the film rights to their characters to Cannon! Freakin' Cannon for God's sake! This is the company that brought us Masters of the Universe (fodder for a future review)! MASTERS OF THE FREAKIN' UNIVERSE!!! (Sorry, I'm tense right now...) As a result, this movie, starring the aforementioned Salinger offspring Matt as Captain America, sucks. It's bad enough we have to see a crappy looking Red Skull--with an unnecessary Italian accent--in the beginning, and even worse when Cap awakens in the future after 50 years in suspended animation to find the Red Skull a satisfied patient of plastic surgery. He also meets his late girlfriend's daughter, who looks just like her mother, or something like that. Man, this movie is so stupid... Ah hell, you know how it ends, so it's pointless to continue this. You can't do much worse than see this flick.
