 As we all know, when men get old they get dirty. Kubrick obviously was a dirty filthy old man when he directed this very strange film. Although it was great to see Nicole Kidman's great girly butt, the sex stuff was just plain dull. Maybe its just the knowledge that Cruise and Kidman are married...who wants to see married people doing it? Nobody. The soundtrack consisted of about 6 keys on a piano played over and over again. Not even his purple badness Prince could knock out a soundtrack that lame in a weekend. Unfortunately I didn't see the director's cut (porno version) which from what I understand had BJ's, HJ's, DP's, CS's, basically the works. Instead I ended up with digital cloaked figures obscuring the naughty bits, sigh. The underage titillation caused by Lelee Sobieski apparently was another Kubrick dirty old man touch...she's quite hot but the whole scene was bizarre. I think she's 18 now so I can quit feeling dirty I suppose. As for the plot, well who knows. I was just so bored I went to play Half-Life for awhile and came back later. Sheesh will this movie never end? Maybe I missed something but the movie suddenly ended and I changed the channel looking for a titty movie on Cinemax. I give this movie only 1 boot to the head. The plot initially intriguing but you felt burned at the end, kind of like when you make out with a girl that gets ya horny but won't "finish you off".
