 Third (obviously) in a series of lavish Chinese period-piece comedies that explore the theme of Lust As Man's Downfall; Philosophical Sex Farce if you will. Whilst nothing here compares to the seductive woman with huge demon penis of II, or the vitality of the original, III delivers what fans of the series have come (!!!) to expect: scenes verging on hardcore, "lesbianism", sadomasochism & appalling/hilarious subtitles. Of course, the "comedy" aspect may lose something in the translation, yet the sheer audacity of the content is hard to fault - opening twenty men, one woman sequence, whorehouse inspection, penis wood-carving, funny bald guy (a Sex & Zen regular - Hong Kong's "answer" to Bobby Rhodes) who's apparently in possession of an extra-large "dead snake", Kung-Fu Sex Master who shares his knowledge with anyone willing to listen. In an attempt to "out-do" previous instalments (a pretty hard ask...) III is a touch more nastier - featuring an array of torture sequences - needles pushed thru fingertips, frog inserted in (CENSORED), double nipple removal & slo-mo blow to the vulva with blunt instrument - overall, enough pushing of the envelope to make a mockery of the video store (from where this tape was rented) claim of "no pornographic titles". Arguments could be made of desensitization after inflicting an hour-or-so of this material on the "average viewer", nevertheless, two moments stand out: 1/ The beautiful sweat-drenched face of Chinese (or is it Cantonese??) sex-worker adopting irritated grimace. & 2/ The most explosive "female ejaculation" ever filmed.
