 This movie did for original novel what koolaid did for Jonestown kid's drinks. It is UNBELIEVABLE what they did to the poor novel - its essence lays in tatters, scattered on the floor of some marketing boardroom by people who decided to take the story as FAR away from the original as possible. For those of you who haven't read it, it was written in the 1950's and is a novel not just about cool fighting armour, but more about the mentality of war and the futility of man's actions. Save yourself $5 at the video story and buy the used paperback, you will enjoy it much much more, and you don't have to pay a late fee.
