If you liked "Big Trouble In Little China" but just can't seem to find another movie on the same level, check out this flick (if you can find it). The hero is a loser, but what Jake lacks in coolness he makes up for with his kick-ass pump-action shotgun "The Kid" (which actually has the power to completely disintegrate a bar, a jeep, and numerous African army guys). Watch for the cool scene where bad guy Sid (played by John Hurt -- Cain from "Alien") explains why evil is better. "I lie, I cheat, I steal, I kill." coupled with a cool slow dolley shot can't be beat. The corny H.A.R.V. (Heavy Artillery Rating Vehicle) still manages to leave a trail of faint hero vibe, with its side-mounted internal machine guns and candy-apple red paintjob. Overall, a "movie for guys who like movies", even if it does rip off Big Trouble, Romancing the Stone, and Indiana Jones. The music for this movie is really cool synthesizer stuff that totally represents the film's 1986 release year. But don't bother hunting for the soundtrack, because you'd have better luck trying to find the Holy Grail.
