This, my friends, is the next step in the evolution of cyberspace.  The technological innovation that will bring joy to several people.  It is -- the virtual bad movie mix tape!  We've gathered bad movie songs, clips, and who knows what the rocka-chicka-hell else and stamped our name on it to make you think we did something instead of just stealing other people's material.  And since it's virtual, we linked as much as possible to other sites on the net (well, we have to keep our quota down, that virtual thing is a thinly veiled excuse). So sit back and enjoy the worst quality sound since the PC Speaker was invented. Of course, all material on this page is copyright of it's original owners and these files are only used for personal use on a junky mixtape so why don't you big corporation lawyers give us a break and we'll all sleep a little easier at night, even though if you do contact we won't sound so big anymore and will definitely back down, removing all offending material immediately. Now we feel all wussy.  Oh, the humiliation!

Track 1: Go, Monster, Go!

  • The rocking trailer from "Monster A Go-Go". Lost to time and preserved on a cassette tape I have.  REAL AUDIO  format
  • Track 2: And now we're pleased to bring you our feature presentation

  • Get into the spirit of the thing and pretend.  Nothing says "at the theatre" or perhaps "watching HBO" better than a guy telling you the movie's starting. From Jonathan's Misc. SoundsWAV format (OFFSITE)
  • Track 3: 20th Century Fox Fanfare

  • Oops! No link.  I guess they've already gotten to everybody on the net.  Well, it would've made a great atmospheric addition.  As it is, listen to the music in your own sweet head.
  • Track 4: Theme from Shaft

  • I could put a "shut your mouth" joke here, but I can dig the cool scene too, baby. It's all good. MID format
  • Track 5: Clip

  • "I was giving this broad the stars and stripes for-ever!" -- from the movie Heavy Metal/File from Rokland's Heavy Metal Sounds: WAV format (OFFSITE)
  • Track 6: Planet Collision

  • One of two great songs from the band Man Or Astro-Man? that made it onto the mix. From the album Experiment Zero/File from the Man or Astro-Man? Website: REAL AUDIO format (OFFSITE)
  • Track 7: Clip

  • "I'm the pimp of the nation -- I'm Petey Wheatstraw!" from the movie Petey Wheatstraw, the Devil's Son-in-Law/File from the Rudy Ray Moore is Dolemite! page: AIFF format (OFFSITE)
  • Track 8: Theme from the Never Ending Story

  • It doesn't get any worse than this.  You NEED this song.  The other songs are so fun you might forget -- you must remember the PAIN of bad movies.  This song will do it. MID format
  • Track 9: Clip

  • "Soylent Green is people!!!" -- Where's the movie To Serve Soylent -- "Soylent green -- it's a cookbook!"?  Of course, from the "classic", Soylent Green/link from Sound America : WAV format (OFFSITE)
  • Track 10: What's New Pussycat?

  • Well, I've never seen the movie, but if the song's any indication ...  MID format
  • Track 11: Burning Rubber Tires!

  • What bad movie mix could be without a MST3k clip?  Here's one of the best bits from the show, when Joel sings the "Burning Rubber Tires" song from Pod People. He's the best! From Pansy Ramada's and the Nuchal's MST SuperSite: AU format  (OFFSITE)
  • Track 12: Clip

  • Extended explanation of scientific principles from Earth vs. The Flying Saucers/From Sound America: WAV format (OFFSITE)
  • Track 13: Transmissions from Venus

  • Second thrilling song from Man Or Astro-Man? Cool clip at the beginning, great music all around. From the album Destroy All Astromen!/File from the Man or Astro-Man? Website: REAL AUDIO format (OFFSITE)

There's bad movie music for you -- if you want the skinny on "bad  music", Rob and Alan recommend Bad Music Central which features sound clips from some of the worst material ever recorded on a 16 track/4 track/Edison brand wax cylinder.
