What is this Brainathon, anyway?

Brainathon is a collaboration between several bad movie sites on the Web. The goal: to review the same bad movie and link all the reviews together in a frenzy of cross-promotion. Brainathon is named after the first movie chosen for this project, the 50's sci-fi schlock classic The Brain from Planet Arous.
So I'm supposed to read 7 different reviews of the same bad movie?

Yes.
Are there going to be more movies reviewed?

We hope so. It's a little hard to coordinate these things, but if this goes well you can probably expect more.

This sounds fun, is there a way I participate in something like this in the comfort of my own home?

If you're itching to compare your thoughts on bad movies with other people, I'd suggest visiting the B-Movie Mailing List page run by Nathan Shumate. Readers are encouraged to watch the same bad movie every weekend and comment on it the next week.

Where can I find a copy of the Brain from Planet Arous to view for myself?

The Brain from Planet Arous is part of the Wade Williams Collection of classic b-movies. New copies are available on VHS from most video stores, including Reel.com. There is no DVD version yet, but hopefully one will be issued when Image begins releasing the Williams Collection in DVD.

Where can I find a giant brain for myself?

Me no help you big brain. Me brain small.

Okay, that was weird. Anything else?

No, I'm good. Thanks for coming.
